Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium option available)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Add minced garlic, oregano, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine.
  3. Place pork chops in a resealable bag or shallow dish.
  4. Pour the marinade over the pork chops, ensuring they are fully coated.
  5. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours. For deeper flavor, marinate overnight.
  6. Remove pork chops from marinade, discarding any excess. Discard the used marinade.
  7. Cook pork chops using your preferred method (grilling, pan-searing, or baking).

Notes

  • For a honey mustard variation, add 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard and 1 tablespoon of honey to the marinade base.
  • For an Asian-inspired flavor, substitute soy sauce with tamari and add 1 teaspoon of grated fresh ginger.
  • To reduce sodium, use a low-sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos.
