You can create this simple, craveable treat that balances salty pretzels and creamy peanut butter with rich chocolate. This no-bake bark is perfect for quick desserts or party snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until you form a smooth, thick dough.
  3. Fold in the crushed pretzels until they are evenly coated in the peanut butter mixture.
  4. Press this peanut butter-pretzel mixture firmly and evenly into the prepared pan, creating the base layer.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil, if using. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate evenly over the peanut butter-pretzel base. Spread it gently to cover the entire surface.
  7. Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours, or until the bark is completely firm.
  8. Use the parchment paper overhang to lift the bark from the pan. Break or cut the bark into irregular pieces before serving.

Notes

  • For a different flavor, substitute milk or white chocolate chips for the semi-sweet chocolate.
  • If you want a crunchier texture, reserve 1/2 cup of crushed pretzels to sprinkle over the melted chocolate before chilling.
  • You can make this ahead of time; store the finished peanut butter pretzel bark in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
