Ingredients
Scale
1 pound Italian sausage
1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup sliced pepperoni
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil (for garnish)
Instructions
In a large oven-safe skillet, cook Italian sausage over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Stir in marinara sauce, water, oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer.
Add broken lasagna noodles to the skillet, ensuring they are mostly submerged in the sauce. Cover and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes, or until noodles are tender, stirring occasionally.
Preheat your broiler.
Remove the lid and sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheeses evenly over the top. Arrange pepperoni slices over the cheese.
Broil for 3-5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly and pepperoni is slightly crisp. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
