Ingredients
Scale
1 gallon apple cider
1 (64 ounce) bottle cranberry juice cocktail
1 (2 liter) bottle lemon-lime soda, chilled
1 cup green apple vodka (optional)
1/4 cup black sanding sugar
1 tablespoon lime juice
Gummy worms
Dry ice (optional, for smoky effect)
Instructions
Prepare the sugar rim: On a small plate, mix the black sanding sugar with the lime juice. Dip the rim of each glass into the mixture to coat.
In a large punch bowl, combine the apple cider, cranberry juice cocktail, and lemon-lime soda.
If using, stir in the green apple vodka.
Add gummy worms to the punch bowl for a spooky garnish.
For a smoky effect, carefully add small pieces of dry ice to the punch bowl just before serving. Handle dry ice with gloves and ensure good ventilation.
Serve immediately.
Notes
For a deeper red color, you can substitute some of the apple cider with pomegranate juice.
If you don’t have black sanding sugar, you can mix black food coloring with granulated sugar.
Ensure dry ice is handled safely and never touched with bare skin.
