Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups frozen watermelon chunks
  • 1/2 cup cold water or coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 4 mint leaves (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen watermelon chunks, cold water or coconut water, and lime juice into your blender.
  2. Add the honey or maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter taste.
  3. Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed.
  4. Pour the smoothie immediately into glasses.
  5. Garnish each serving with a fresh mint leaf before you serve it.

Notes

  • For an even colder, thicker smoothie, freeze your watermelon chunks for at least four hours prior to blending.
  • If you want a watermelon banana smoothie variation, add one frozen banana to the blender.
  • To make this a weight loss smoothie, omit the optional sweetener.
  • This recipe is naturally vegan and dairy-free.
